Too early? Not quite. The first Akkar watermelons landed at our warehouse yesterday. Small, round, dark-skinned — and shockingly good for February.

These aren't the massive summer melons. They're personal-sized, 3-4kg each, with a concentrated sweetness that the big ones can't match. We're stocking limited quantities at $1.50/kg.

Quick tip: Knock on it. If it sounds hollow, it's ready. If it sounds dull, leave it a day.
