Direct from the farmer, no broker layer

Hand-washed in Adma, direct from the farmer.

Frutzco's vegetable supply runs on a daily cycle from farms in the Bekaa Valley for cool-season crops, Mount Lebanon for the herbs and leafy greens grown at altitude, and coastal Lebanon for early-season tomatoes and cucumbers. Direct relationships with growers — no broker between the farmer and our crate.

Sorting happens by hand at our Adma facility every morning before the delivery wave goes out. Stem length, leaf wilt, blemishes, and root attachment are all checked one bunch at a time. What doesn't pass the bar gets juiced or goes to the staff kitchen — it never reaches the catalog.

Produce-grade crates, no ice, no cold-chain interruption past our facility. Vegetables that don't need refrigeration (tomatoes, onions, garlic) ship at ambient temperature; what does (greens, herbs) rides in insulated containers. Same-day delivery means no time spent in a cold room across two transfers.

Seasonality drives the page. Akkoub in early spring, mloukhieh through summer, kousa from April to October, kale steady through winter. When a vegetable is out of season locally, we don't substitute imported — we just leave it off the shelf until it comes back.

Common Questions

Where do Frutzco vegetables come from?

Frutzco sources vegetables directly from farms in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley and Mount Lebanon region, with a small selection of specialty imports via air freight.

How often is Frutzco's vegetable selection updated?

The vegetable catalog is updated daily to reflect seasonal availability. Farmers harvest each morning and Frutzco's team sorts and delivers the same day.

Does Frutzco deliver vegetables same-day in Lebanon?

Yes. Orders placed before 5 PM are delivered the same day across Adma, Jounieh & Keserwan. Morning orders are typically delivered within 3-4 hours.

Are Frutzco's vegetables washed before delivery?

Sorted and surface-cleaned by hand at our Adma facility — not pre-washed in chlorinated water, which is the supermarket standard and shortens shelf life. Give leafy greens a final rinse at home before use.

Do you carry specialty Lebanese vegetables like akkoub, mloukhieh, or hindbeh?

Yes — when in season. Akkoub from late February through April, fresh mloukhieh in summer, wild hindbeh after the first winter rains. These rotate through the Vegetables and More Veggies aisles as the calendar moves.
